New signing

I’m proud to announce yet more exciting news with the signing of Chanuka Ranatunge! As a close friend of our recent signings Nishitha Weerakoon and Athula Krishantha, Chanuka is excited to join our club as well for the upcoming season.

Chanuka is a genuine all-rounder, with middle order batting experience and the ability to bowl both spin and seam, as well as being an excellent fielder. He has VTCA and Sub-District experience, which stacks up well coming into the FTGDCA for us!

Welcome to Lysterfield CC Chanuka

New player signings

It’s with great pleasure that I announce two player signings this evening

Nishitha Weerakoon (pictured right)

Nish is a classy wicket-keeper / batsman. Having previously played in the VTCA for Tullamarine CC, he comes to us with great hopes to have a big impact with the bat and gloves! Nish is a chef at a local Sri Lankan Restaurant - Ceylon Aroma in Boronia. We welcome Nish and his wife Chathuri to our club with open arms

Athula Krishantha (pictured left)

Athula is a crafty new-ball bowler. Again coming across from the Tullamarine CC in the VTCA, arguably the states top local cricketing standard, he comes to us with huge potential to have a strong impact immediately. His strengths are his consistency and ability to move the ball in good areas. Athula delivers parcels for Australia Post in his spare time, and continues to play Winter cricket in the Western Suburbs during our off season! Welcome Athula .

Both men are well connected with other Sri Lankan cricketers within the FTGDCA, and we are really excited to be making positive steps in diversifying and evolving our cricket clubs’ culture in season 2025/26.

welcome home!

Welcome home Connor Nicolopoulos

It gives me great pleasure to announce Connor is returning to our great club. In a recent meeting, Connor expressed his love for the club and his desire to be apart of the clubs newest phase. At just 20 years old, he is an outstanding young man, and we can’t wait to watch Connor grow, develop and lead within our club.

Welcome home Connor.
